Official Language for the ESCVS Sessions

The official language will be English

Participation

The Congress will be open to all physicians, medical students, paramedical personnel and nurses interested in cardio-vascular surgery.

Secretariat Desk

The Secretariat Desk will be open at the following times:

Access to the conference Site

Participants should wear the identification badge collected at the Secretariat Desk upon registration during all conference sessions and events.

Certificate of Attendance

A certificate of attendance will be given to all registered participants.

CME accreditation

CME accreditation will be provided.

Final Programme and Abstracts

The printed version of the final programme and the abstract book will be available to all registered participants directly on-site in Barcelona. The Abstracts of the congress will be published in a supplement issue of  Interactive Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, official journal of the ESCVS.

Congress Agenda

Commercial Exhibition

An Exhibition featuring Pharmaceutical and Product Companies, Technical Equipment Companies, Medical Publishers and Societies will be held at the congress venue. The entrance is free to those registered to the Congress and registered accompanying persons. The Exhibition will open at 09.00 am of Thursday, April 24^th and will follow the same schedule as the conference.

Official Letter of Invitation

Letters of invitation required by foreign participants to meet the administrative or legal regulations of some countries are available upon written request to the Organising Secretariat, indicating address and personal details. It must be understood that such letters do not represent a commitment on the part of the Congress Oraganization to provide any financial assistance.

Disclaimer

The Organisers cannot be considered responsible for the cancellation of the Congress or parts of it. In case of total cancellation, congress participants will be reimbursed for the Registration Fees they have actually paid. However, the Organisers are not liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused as a result of such cancellation.

Insurance

As regards personal insurance, insurance for luggage, valuables and for third party damages, congress participants should arrange an insurance policy on their own, as the Organisers will not be responsible for this. No responsibility will also be accepted for  problems resulting from strikes, climate conditions or any other circumstances beyond the Organisers’ control.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Secretariat; refunds will be made under the following conditions:

-          until March 1, 2008: refund of  50 % of registration fees received

-          after March 1, 2008: no refund

All refunds will be handled after the Meeting.
